Reading With Cass

I'm just another girl in love with books and who happens to make videos about books on YouTube.

LOVED IT!

Saga, Volume 1 - Brian K. Vaughan, Fiona Staples

Ok seriously just go read this graphic novel. It is amazing. The story line is fantastic and the artwork is absolutely incredible! Love it!

Reading progress update: I've read 198 out of 409 pages.

The Raven Boys - Maggie Stiefvater
Sketchy - Olivia Samms

My review of Sketchy by Olivia Samms :)

Amazing Read!

Paper Towns - John Green

Ok so this is officially my second favorite book of John Green's now, right behind The Fault In Our Stars.

I loved everything about this book from the characters, to the writing. The writing was so beautiful and kept me enthralled throughout the entire book. I loved that this book was a contemporary as well as a mystery. The mystery in this book was about trying to find Margo, a girl who has run away from home. She leaves behind clues for her next door neighbor, a boy named Quentin, who she also grew up with. What I liked most about this mystery is that the reader cannot figure out where she actually is just like the characters in the book. When Quentin finds out where she is, we as readers find out as well. Its awesome.

Besides the mystery throughout the book, we are also learning more about Quentin and Margo and all their other friends. One of my favorite things about this book is the references about seeing someone through a mirror instead of a window. That is so powerful to me and you will understand it more when you read the book.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who needs a good contemporary in their life because this is a perfect book for the job.

Reading progress update: I've read 150 out of 305 pages.

Paper Towns - John Green

This is so amazing so far! This was the only John Green novel that I haven't read so as soon as I got it, I had to start reading it. Can't wait to see what happens.

The Golden Lily

The Golden Lily - Richelle Mead I'm pretty sure this is the first Richelle Mead book that I've given only 3 stars to. I can't give it anymore because it was so slow for the first 200 pages. It put me in a reading slump, that's how slow it was. Plus the characters started to annoy a little bit. It picked up a little in the end but not by a lot. I expected more from this book. Hopefully the next books in the series are better than this one.

Grave Mercy: His Fair Assassin, Book I (His Fair Assassin Trilogy)

Grave Mercy - Robin LaFevers, R.L. LaFevers Wow! That was amazing! I flew though this book. The pacing was fast and I loved everything about it! I loved how the writing was exactly how it should be for that time period. I also fell in love with the characters right from the start. The mystery was incredible. It kept me guessing with every page. Plus the main character is an assassin. Who doesn't love that!? :D
The Edge of Never (The Edge of Never, #1) - J.A. Redmerski My second New Adult novel and I loved it. There were a few slow places throughout the book so that's why I deducted a star but the rest was awesome! And that ending! The last 50 pages was a total plot twist! I did not see it coming until a couple pages before it happened. It was intense! I definitely recommend!

*FOR MATURE READER'S ONLY! A LOT OF SEXUAL CONTENT*

The Program

The Program - Suzanne Young Well that was interesting. Great concept although it was lacking in some places for me. I still really enjoyed it. I loved the characters and I was surprised to see that this was more of a romance than anything else.

That epilogue though...WHAAAAAA!?

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Book 1)

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - J.K. Rowling First read: 2011
2nd read: February 6, 2014
Just as good the second time around!

The Road (Movie Tie-in Edition 2009) (Vintage International)

The Road - Cormac McCarthy Rating: 3.5
I'm not entirely sure what I think about this book. At times it was extremely boring and at other times, I couldn't put it down. It was a slow read but it was interesting. I really liked seeing the relationship between the father and the son. Their conversations were short but I enjoyed them. I loved how the story was written. No chapters, instead it had breaks in-between paragraphs. The descriptions of the world were also amazing. I definitely recommend this book :)

The Tales of Beedle the Bard

The Tales of Beedle the Bard - J.K. Rowling I am pretty sure this is my favorite book out of the 3 books in the Hogwarts Library. All of the stories were amazing and I especially loved Dumbledore's comments about the story after each one ended. Ahhhhhh I think I could read this book over and over again <3
I just loved reading about all the different beasts that exist in the Harry Potter world. It read like a textbook but I didn't find myself bored at all. I also liked the little notes from Harry and Ron in the margins. They added humor to the book and it was a nice addition.
