In the year of 2013 I made a goal for myself. That goal was to read 12 classics, one each month (I'm not much of a classics reader). This was my first classic in 2013 and after reading it, I'm not sure I want to read anymore...
I MEAN REALLY! HOW CAN ANY OTHER CLASSIC COMPARE TO THIS!?
Please tell me, I would like to know :P
The thing I enjoyed most about this book were the characters. They were truly spectacular.
Scout is the smartest little girl I ever read about, not to mention feisty!
Jem is the perfect big brother, always looking out for Scout and teasing her.
Dill is hilarious and I really hope that when he got older, he married Scout just like he promised.
Atticus is the man everyone should try to be.
And Boo Radley...aww Boo I wish I could meet him!
There are many more characters that I could talk about but I want to get to the plot before next year haha.
The story is told by Scout obviously when she is older but the actually story takes place when she is 6-8 years old. She tells a tale of mystery mostly but there is so much more to it that I couldn't stop reading.
I will definitely re-read this classic in the future. It will never get old.
